I have my Lithium Lazer 8″ for sale. This auger works flawlessly and cuts fantastic. This auger is for sale with two batteries and the charger. The Lithium Lazer 8″ was $599 new. The spare battery was an additional $299. I’m asking $550 OBO for everything.

I’m willing to ship… but pick up in the MPLS / St. Paul metro area is preferred due to the costs associated with shipping such a large item. Contact me by Private Message here on IDO or by email at [email protected]

WhAaaaaaat? A person can own more than one auger at the same time? Seriously though, I’d be interested but I bought an Ion on the cheap to be one of my augers. I will tell anyone watching this, after having right hand carpal tunnel surgery, the electric auger saved my ice season…I couldn’t pull the recoil for a few weeks after surgery.

You forgot to say the “autographed by Dave koonce” edition…. might bring up the resale value. tongue But seriously I’m really glad I bought one this year. It made a world of difference compared to the old 8 inch mora also known as ole rusty by my 3 year old.

How many holes for 12″ of ice?

How do the lithium batts handle the cold?

Have you ever used it for the Lake Winnipeg trip? If so can you comment on the performance?

    Thanks.

I cannot comment on Winnipeg but this is my exclusive auger… I run 3 bits for different applications.. 6″,7″and 8″

I have only run the battery down low (did not run out) twice… PJ and I were out last Saturday on a search and destroy mission… I can safely say we cut 75 holes thru 10 to 20″ of ice and did not kill the battery… I leave my auger out with the battery on all the time..it is designed to lay down with the battery closest to the ice and it has not had an affect on the life that I can tell… My temps here are in the single digits to 30’s and 40’s… I like ice fishing in the 40’s -)

12″ of ice? 75+ per battery. The Strikemast batteries handle cold very well. I’ve never done anything to keep them warm when on the ice and I’ve never had any performance issues.

The Strikemast lithium will easily turn a 10″ bit.

I ran the auger dry a couple of weeks ago on Mille Lacs. I was able to get about 70-75 holes drilled through about 20-22″ of ice before it quit. On the last few holes, you could tell it was slowing down a bit, and then it just quit midway through a hole. It was about 25 degrees out, and the auger sat either on the ice or on the tailgate for the trip, with the battery attached. Usually I just put in on the ice.

I mainly hole-hop for bluegills on local lakes and walleyes on Mille Lacs, and I leave the lake most often with a battery that reads two-thirds charged on the battery gauge, sometimes one-third.
