foot warmer issue

Just a heads up, I don’t know if anyone uses these. Three people have experienced seriously burned feet from battery-powered foot warmers in the past week. If you own some, you might want to reconsider using them given the risk exposed. The product themselves have been pulled and are not for sale anymore.

Ok, I’ll be sticking with single use hand warmers for now! smash

Well that kind of takes the fun out of trying out my new heated boxer shorts.

The ones they are talking about have the battery built into the sole so all your weight is on it. Probably weak shitty construction so you eventually puncture the battery. I would think heated socks or other clothing where you just have a battery pack attached somewhere is much safer.

Here’s hoping your boots don’t leak – or feet don’t stink! God forbid you’d want to wash a pair of socks!

I picked up a pair of nice insulated Muck Boots on sale a couple of months ago. These things are rated down to -60F.

I aspire to live my whole life without battery powered clothing.
But I have to admit I have been eyeballing those heated jackets/vests for my wife.

Right with you there. My concern is if when it quits working at of course the worst time possible, you’re left completely screwed. Insulation doesn’t really malfunction

Go ahead and use them. Just bring a fresh bun and condiments.

Sharon, how is the Milwaukee heated sweatshirt been for ya? I hope it’s still working.
