Foot odor

I got new Cabela’s 800 gram rubber boots last year because my Rocky 1000 gram rubber boots developed tiny cracks in the seams. This year, I’ve been busted several times by does somewhat downwind and as far as 100-125 yards. I got busted last night by a doe about 125 yards downwind that came upwind like she should. I rigorously spray down, use nose jammer and always play the wind, but last night I noticed the inside of my boots reek of foot odor!
I left them outside overnight and checked them this morning and they still stink…
I normally don’t have foot odor so this is irritating. Anyone have any recommendations on a product to help with this? Should I go back to my original rubber boots? I don’t remember having a problem with them.

Dead down wind has foot powder . The only thing I know of keeps the odor down is after every hunt put on the boot dryer.

My rubber boots from the last 3 years do not stink since I made it a habit to always put on the boot dryer.

Get yourself a boot dryer. Put your boots on dryer after each time that you use them. This will prevent the odor. Now that the odor is in them use a scent eliminating soap and wash the inside of them out and let them dry.

X4 don’t let that “moisture” marinate.

The inside of the boot is lined with “scent” blocking material that is a cloth-like material. Do you mean I should take out the foot pad and wash that?

Yep a boot dryer is your friend. Feet sweat a lot more than people realize.

On top of a boot dryer, always put a healthy dose of baking soda in the boot once they’re dry and shake it around to spread the powder. Your feet may become a little grainy from the baking soda, but they will not stink!

I’d check with cabelas to see if you can get a couple other sets of foot bed liners and switch those out each day while taking time to dry the boot with those liners out. Changing out the liners every day will allow those just used to dry well.

I use fresh scent free washed socks every trip, spray the outsides with scent killer, i rub a little conquest ever calm on the soles. After a hunt, i respray the outsides, sprinkle some dead down wind boot powder inside and place on a boot dryer. I have seen deer smell my trail, and occasionally they do notice something, but relax shortly. Its been a couple years since ive been busted, to the best of my knowledge……

I’m very OCD about scent control. That’s why I need to address this issue ASAP.
