Finally some down time been reading about eveyones food plots all day here and a couple other sites. I love this time of year! One more trip to the woods on Sunday and i’m done until openiong week. The plots are looking great and the hit list is complete! Got some great deer to chase this fall.
Here is my favorite plot this year. New ground, never planted this spot and its taken off great. The plot contains turnips, rape, peas, and rye grain.
The deer are funneling through the plot and staging here before they hit the bean field. Praying they stay on the beans at least the 1st week of the season! But judging by years past they’ll stop the day before the season. BUT we still have the food plots so hope they’ll keep them in their travels.
The pic is looking south. The first is the before and the second was taken two days ago. You can’t see it but about 100 yards from the south end of this plot is a 40 acres bean plot the deer hammer. And like I said it seems the deer are funneling thourgh my plots to get to the bean field.
