I have helix10g3n mega so at the console and a g4n mega do at the bow. Terrova i-Pilot. Before I did the software updates, the i-Pilot link worked great. After the updating the software, the follow the contour feature does not show up when I select a contour. Have not been able to connect with hummingbird yet. Lakemaster mn version 5 smartstrike chip

When you scroll over and center the crosshairs on the contour and hit “GOTO” what happens?

The option after I got the goto function for follow the contour does not show up as an option like it did previous. It also does not show it anymore under accessories

Goto shows no option? This is a reason why I dont do the upgrade newest version. If it ain’t broke dont fix it. Really is the newest software update that great?

I wish I did not do the update now. Spent an hour on the phone with hummingbird and they said to call minnkota because the issue is in the trolling motor. Called minnkota and they said it is not the motor and that it was the update that caused it which is what I think also. Not sure what to do at this point, a lot of money invested for something I am getting the run around to fix

I don’t have the update but my experience with follow the contour is that if you are not zoomed in enough on the map it will not show you the option to follow the contour. This is just a guess but the selection target icon is to large and you have overlapping contours and it doesn’t know how to pick the correct contour. So, try zooming in.

    Good point.

Tried that but that didn’t work. When i go to my accessories screen, it shows it is not connected. I-Pilot is not even getting recognized at this point.

Jumping into this late and may have been already covered with HBird support.
This is from Humminbird’s web site:

Confirm that i-Pilot Link is listed as connected. It may take a minute for the equipment to be detected. You will refer to this view throughout the update. Note the current software version number shown next to i-Pilot Link. Additional software version NOTES.

NOTE: If the Accessory Test View is not shown in the submenu, select the Main Menu > Views tab > Accessory Test > Visible.

This may sound simple, but have you physically checked the Ethernet cable connection into the back of the unit, or check for any cuts to the cable?
