My buddy put one on his and it’s been good for him. Tournament pro with shorelander trailer. Not sure which unit he went with.
Something to keep in mind, at least with the shorelander trailers your make may offer a pretty simple replacement. Its usually just the center tube that gets exchanged out.

I installed the aftermarket unit from Fulton. It was a tough job because I lacked the proper tools, took me a long time to cut through the tongue and I spent up a few quality dewalt bits to get all the holes drilled. It was the only way to get even a small boat in my city garage. It’s worked well and the hardware seems to be holding up into its 4th year so far.

I put a Fulton on my last trailer. With the proper tools, it wasn’t a tough job. It held up well, and it was worth every penny and drop off sweat. My storage guy loved it, too.

I also added the Fulton 2-3 years ago, it’s worked out well.

I used a 4 1/2 cut-off wheel on my grinder and once you mark the holes to be drill I found that if you use a step drill bit it work better than using a hand full of drill bits. Just go by your instruction and all will work. Good luck!!

The drilling is the worse part, for sure. There are torque specs for the bolts. You can borrow a torque wrench from O’Reilly Auto to make sure you torque them correctly. Or you can wing it, but with something like that, I’d prefer to know that it was done correctly.
