May 11, 2015 at 5:49 am #1543221Those are some great looking flies. It’s fun to fool a nice fish with a fly you tied yourself!

May 11, 2015 at 12:02 pm #1543355Steve, Is Pic-003 what they call a Morrish Mouse? I’ve had an inkling to add that pattern.
May 11, 2015 at 12:54 pm #1543375Tegg, Yup that a Morrish Mouse. It was developed as a mouse pattern for Rainbows in Alaska. I’ve been throwing it at Bass with great success. I don’t know why the Bass would prefer that bug over a Diver or Popper, buy some days they ignore my standard bugs and then climb all over the Morrish. They’re easy tie too!
May 11, 2015 at 1:48 pm #1543385This thread is more my speed. I fly fish 99% of the time, and tie all of my own flies. Mostly bass/musky stuff nowadays, but still tie for trout trips west and north and some salt stuff as well.

May 11, 2015 at 1:58 pm #1543387I couldn’t imagine fishing trout in Wisconsin without a Pass Lake streamer. Nice tie!
May 11, 2015 at 2:07 pm #1543389Im glad that this topic is already appealing to people. I like to tie flies and make my own patterns like the woolly bugger up top I never saw one like that but when I made it and used it I caught stealhead late in the season after everyone said you cant catch them anymore I was hammering them. I haven’t noticed a forum that has a fly tying topic.
Those flies are awesome you guys!
July 24, 2015 at 9:07 pm #1556283This is a new fly I tied for lakers behind a downrigger. I also realized that the first pic I posted was a teeny nymph that I tied I uploaded the wrong fly. You aren’t suppose to see that secret weapon. But hear it is the Davis Arrowhead. (Zonker rabbit strip for the tail, tinsel wrap on the body, polymer a rabbit strip for the head and some crinkle flash that you can’t really see)
