Ever cast the “TBH Gummy Crane Fly Larvae”? It won’t get super distance but it will cast fairly well with a 7’+ rod! I used this a nymph a few weeks back vertical jigging as a last resort and it worked great…I decided to try and use it again going for some brookies in some ULTRA clear water. It worked TREMENDOUSLY😀I kept about half a stringer full and released everything from that point…The underwater video shots came out great and the visibility is really fun to see!!

Caught a nice handful of brook trout for a simple 5 ingredient catch and cook and the food tasted great! This is the first time I’ve ever casted a fly, using spinning gear with NO bubble. Jigging with the weighted nymph was the way to go…I will be trying this again for other species throughout the next month! Hope you guys enjoy the pictures…If you are curious to see the action or the food, video link below as well🎣🎣🎣
