Fly Fishing for Bass

How man guys out here are starting to fly fishing for bass? It is getting pretty big down south.

I haven’t use anything but a fly rod for Bass for over 20 years now. Great fun!

I try to fit in a few outings for Bass on the fly every summer. What a blast!!

I was just up in Michigan and they were doing a small mouth demo and I went on a little trip that was pretty fun. Never had even tried it before.

Actually I should rephrase …. I didnt know people even were into it.

What about san diego bass? I am going out to Southern California for christmas and found these guys. They say the catch a lot of bass but I am not sure how big of “bass” they are really talking about.

They get some nice fish out there. And don’t assume Fly Fishing means ultra light. They catch 150 pound Tarpon on fly rods, right?

Wish I had a lot more time to devote to my flyrods. I blow the dust off of them once in a while. But since life got in the way back in the 80s, and I moved away from the lake mi tribs in 90, I just don’t make the time. Sure is a lot of fun.
