Not really a Walleye fisher but might give it a shot this weekend. Pretty good numbers on what is basically a wide part of a river
So are those finny dudes going upriver or are they content to be lake eyes, some of each? Lake is shallow and dark, I was going to use a jig and minnow but am open to ideas. Thanks

They are chasing food probably in shallower water during low light periods. Bait most likely just outside flowage or current areas. But all lakes and flowages are different.

Fish a Wisconsin River flowage most of the time. Right now you can find them anywhere. The past 2 weeks fish are in the river section and the lake area. Anywhere from 5 to 30 feet. Last Friday had 5 legals from 14 feet in upper lake area(no noticable current area). 2 guys in another boat had 4 legals and 4 big fish out of 28 feet main lake area(no current).
    Find fish, then fish them.
