Nobody heard about the floater near Everts or did I miss mention of it here?
Here’s a link that’s to the actual events of today. What’s posted above is from 2016. Today’s incident had nothing to do with a vehicle.
It was on our 6pm news. The tv crew interviewed the angler that discovered the body. Prayers indeed. What a way to mess up a day of fishing.
My worst possible river concern.
Condolences to the family as well as the fisherman who had to experience that awful find.
Whilst fishing snags last year with my wife, we spotted a medium sized (looked like maybe a pig?) fleshy hairless bloated carcas. Creeped her out & she insisted I check to make sure it wasn’t human. I got close enough to see that it was not human but never could tell what type animal it was.
The id hasn’t been announced. Clothed. No ID. No boat found.
No one (as far as I know) has turned in a missing persons report including the boaters of P4 yesterday.
I assumed it was a fishermen and boy was I shocked to hear it was a female.
There’s more to this story then what we can assume at this point.
On the other hand, with flows reaching 70+k this weekend, it’s time to take up golf until it slows again. If a person must go out, take a friend and for heaven’s sake, wear a PFD.
With water temps in the mid 30’s, people have about 15 minutes tops before a person is too cold to hold on to the side of the boat. The PFD will just make it easier for the LEO’s to recover your body.
Mother is beautiful but can turn ugly if you don’t respect her.
I was at the resort when the call came in. The young man who spotted the body did it all right, he flagged down another boat, called 911 and stayed with the body. One of the guides was called in to assist in getting the recovery team up to the body. Great job by both the angler and the guide.. if the body was left to float they probably would still be looking for it. The body was discovered shortly after the rollers were opened so I’m assuming she came from up above
That’s a terrible situation for all involved, but hopefully it will bring closure for a family missing their daughter/sister/mother.
I hope it wasn’t too traumatic for the fisherman’s son.
I was out there the day before, glad it wasn’t me that found her, but in a way I wish it was so that boy didn’t have to see it.
It was a solo fisherman in his early 20s.. and the guide had no kids in boat. I don’t believe any kids witnessed it.. thank goodness
I don’t think I could ever go fishing again if I was in that guys shoes.

Good to hear that. When it first happened I read that there was a kid with in one of the articles.
I hope the fisherman gets over it relatively easy. That’s has to be a tough situation, especially when caught off guard like that.
Have they ID’d the women yet??
I haven’t heard if the IDed her.
It was unclear how long she was in the water – Pierce Co Sheriffs Office stated.
Jeremy Schriner(sp?) was the guide.
Pierce County (WQOW) – A body found in the Mississippi River earlier this week has been identified as a missing Turkish woman from Eau Claire.
According to Eau Claire police, Muzeyyan Ayan, 47, was found in the river on Tuesday. She had been missing since vanishing from the Minneapolis airport in late February.

Police say Ayan was originally from Turkey but moved to Eau Claire five years ago to live with her daughters. At the end of February her brother came to the U.S. to help move her back to Turkey. When they got to the airport she refused to board the plane.
There are no indications of foul play, according to police.
Interesting, what happened between the airport and the river? Does someone go for a walk and slip in? Thin ice in spots around the airport this year.
Sad ordeal. Wonder why she didn’t want to board the plane as well? Sad that her daughters now lost a mother regardless of situation.
