Anyone else see this new Ion battery powered ice auger that fleet manufactures. Wonder how the performance of it is.

Someone posted a short video on them last month I believe. At 33lbs, I’ll stick with something else, even for the price. But they look to be decent made augers. Redback is a Chinese company that makes garden tools. Looks to be a retro-fit design from their earth auger.

I would second that of being leary of any first year product. I would like to get an ion but they are just so dam expensive…..

The power unit is 17.2# according to Amazon, By the description it looks like you can put any auger bit on it that you already may have. $320 on Amazon just for the head plus 4ahr battery and charger.
