Flathead Jump

    Been catching a bunch of flatheads in the last week; about 1 flathead to every 5 sturgeon.
    Sitting in the boat Saturday with a buddy and we saw a 30# flathead jump next to the boat just like a sturgeon would.

    We’re though… Hey, good omen.. Maybe
    A few short minutes later we boat a monster sturgeon… OK, good omen.

    I’ve never seen them jump like that before, have you?

    I’ve never seen a flathead jumped, nor even a hooked one jumped on me. Channel cats, yes.
