Flashlight recomendations

Is anyone willing to share or recommend a flashlight to be used mainly at home that is rechargeable, very bright, and relatively compact, and of good value? I have headlamps that fit my needs out and about (recommendations on here) but not a home flashlight. As bright as possible, less thank 10-ish inches, rechargeable (my nitecore headlamps uses 18650 battery and I have an extra so that would be a plus), and priced well. I don’t use this a whole lot but do want something reliable. TIA

Nebo Davinci 10,000L? On a good sale for about $50. Any experience with this product?

Fenix PD35R uses 18650 or 2x cr123. I’ve had an older Fenix forever and they’re pretty bulletproof.

I bought one of these and was so impressed I bought a second one.
Oddly innexpensive and on sale! They have worked out so well for checking the dogs out back here and at the cabin. I have had them at least a year? Super bright, adjustable beam and easy USB charge cord. They take forever to even partially run down.
Best running flashlights I currently own.

900,000 lumens? LOL How do you get almost 1 million lumens out of a Cre led that’s rated for 220 lumens?

No idea how to relate to that number. They do work well though.

I bought one of these and was so impressed, I went back and bought one for every vehicle besides. Bright, focusable beam, USB-rechargeable, uses that standard battery stick, not sure what it’s called but the battery is replaceable.

Not sure how you’d go wrong for $20.

No idea how long the battery lasts, I’ve never run one dead.

Check out the O Light store on amazon. I have their Prowess (5000 Lumen), Seeker 4 (4600 Lumen), & Baton 3 (2500 Lumen). they are all great lights. the Prowess is at its lowest price in the last 30 days ($97.99). another one of theirs too look at is the Marauder Mini (7000 Lumen), it is the most expensive of these but also the brightest.

We have streamlight stingers at work and they are one tough light. More that once I’ve found them submerged in mud for who knows how long and they turn right on. Can’t say enough good things about the streamlight products in general. No clue how much they cost, they are just given to us.

Oh the famous “Not me guy ”

Hey it can’t always be me. The daughter and her friends love playing forts with my flashlights, the boy always is doing something out side and his buddies need flashlights. It always seems when I need one the only light any one knows where it is, is my glove box one. I can’t take all the blame. I have these scape goats for a reason.

I have the streamlight protac hl-x and like it. Haven’t had a lot of high end flashlights before it though, so take that for what it’s worth.

Man some of you either get great Christmas gifts or are flashlight aficionados. Can’t imagine dropping a bone on a flashlight when my phone works 90 percent of the time.
The one posted on Amazon seems like a 20$ gamble I would take.

Was thinking exactly the same thing.

O-Light looks to me like the yeti cooler of flashlights. I remember looking at these whenever youtuber suddenly started pimping them. That’s the power of advertising I guess.

90% of the time when I need light I’m reaching for an LED stick light because something’s busted.

The $10 Olight keychain ones are pretty good. I have a ton of them because OpticsPlanet (or some place like that) was adding them to orders for free. Still on the original one, after a few years and a few times through the wash, with a drawer full in reserve lol

X2 – I have the PD36R and love it.By far the best small flashlight I’ve owned. Adjustable from soft light to extremely bright. Real durable. Mine has taken a beating and still works great. I have probably charged mine 50 times and battery still seems like new. Depending on brightness the battery can last a real long time between charges. Get yourself one and you won’t be disappointed.

I found with flashlights like most things, you often get what you pay for. I’ve owned and tossed a fair # of cheaper flashlight. They work ok at first but the first time you drop one and that’s the end of them. I spent a little more on my last 2 and will probably die with them still working.

I’ll add in a second choice in a bite smaller penlight size. The Thrunite archer is also a great flashlight. This one uses 2 AA batteries. It last a long time on a set. 3 brightness settings I believe + a strobe. Rather affordable as well

I have a fenix headlamp and that thing is incredible. Will have to check out their flashlights because I dont really even have one at the moment. When I bought the headlamp it didnt work and wouldnt charge. Took it back to scheels and they swamped it for a new one, but I had already emailed Fenix that I felt the battery was bad, but then thought well I have had this 2 days and went into scheels. They swapped it and I ended up getting another battery from Fenix.

I have a streamlight rechargeable flashlight that recharges while it’s in a base mounted on my garage wall so it is always charged. One thing I like about recharging in a base as opposed to a cord is the flashlight is always charged and it always where you know it is when you need it. I walk the dog often at night, and it’s nice knowing exactly where the flashlight is because I always put it back in the charging base. It’s an older streamlight so I’m sure the newer lights are probably brighter, so I would look for light with a charging base.

Olight Baton 4? For $43 looks interesting. Tiny but powerful from some research.

I have streamlight HL-X series and an O-light Odin for my nicer lights. They are more than your budget but you wanted a light that worked and these always work for me. I have some that get little use but I check regularly and I’m going on over a year maybe two without changing or charging batteries. Some of mine are duel fuel so they take rechargeable or regular batteries. One thing about the more expensive lights most have warranties or are repairable if something happens instead of just throwing them away.

Another thing to consider is light throw or beam. Everyone talks about lumes and how you need a million just to see but what are you trying to see? My son has a spot light and it outshines my expensive lights but you can only see a 10-15ft circle where my lights I can see a lot more of my surroundings.

I can’t believe you haven’t heard about the new latest and greatest trend. Buying the most expensive flashlight to show how cool and important you are to a forum group.
