Hearing that the bite was 4 weeks behind sure makes me feel better about my weekend at the end of June last year out of Algoma. Got one King in three days. Sure was fun watching you guys hammer them in this video though. Hopefully this year goes better for me!

Fun video to see as I spent the evening the night before re-tying my flies and getting everything set for my first outings in Milwaukee and Racine. Got my season launch pass renewed – now looking for the right winds in my 17’ boat. Hopefully tomorrow am.

So many good choices this time of the year. Pan fishing, cranking walleye, early salmon….

Hooking into a pod of big Lake Michigan Kings before the sun peaks is the greatest thrill available to Midwest fisherman! At its best it is utter chaos and freezer full for the year!

The bait and salmon move miles every day and fisherman must be on the water daily to adjust their location, spread and presentation accordingly.

For those looking to use their own boat and equipment, landing a handful of fish in a weekend is a great accomplishment. Charter boats typically will land 3X that quantity.

Stocking numbers have slowly increased, and this upcoming season is the best opportunity to hook into a 25+ pound giant. About June 20th is the best time of year for numbers.
