Anybody been on the north fork lately. Friend of mine and myself may float it for the first time this weekend. Any help would be great.
    Thanks Dream’n

was up 3 weeks ago. caught several. white #5 mepps, safety pin spinners and a real decent on a texas rigged chigger craw. I would hit the river now. bass fishing should be real good also with this hot weather.

you can rent canoes and put in at 9 Mile tavern west of fifield. the river all the way down to deadman’s slough is real good for almost everything

Also try size #9 or #11 floating rapalas in gold/black or perch color for smallmouth and musky.

    Enjoy! Its a great trip.

Any problems with a small jon boat navigating it? We heard we may need to jump out a few times but that would be fine.

Where are you planning to start and end? Jon boat should be fine for most areas. A little tricky from Robinson Landing to Holts or Agenda landing.

The plan would be somewhere west of you on 70 and taking it to Oxbo? His cabin is near Draper so it would be a rather short drive.

there is a lot of “dead” water between deadman’s and oxbo. “dead” meaning not a lot of current. a small trolling motor would make that stretch much more enjoyable especially if you get a headwind. been there….

fishing is good though. the river heads straight north at that point. oxbo is further than you think

    Flows were great last weekend.
Skeeters were manageable and the top water bite even turned on for a bit.
