The smallies out of flambeau will rival walleye. Great table fare

I agree with SteveO. The smallmouth from the Flambeau River and Turtle-Flambeau Flowage are not only plentuful, but great tasting. They will rival walleye and perch for firmness and flavor. The WDNR regulates these fish and if there was a problem with taking them, the rules would be changed. This is why fishing originated. Enjoy the resource as God intended it to be used by all of us.

I’m a tournement guy and there is nothing wrong with selective harvest! Some bodies of water need some harvest too maintain healthy sizes of fish.Just don’t feed everybody in the neiborhood because you need your ego stroked! Stan

Amen. They are so thick it’s almost like lump crab meat. We’ve taken 4 or 5 legals on numerous river trips. Now this is between 8-12 guys. Delicious appetizer.
