Flag Island Resort

Anyone know the real real reason why Flag Island Resort is closed this winter (not just the lack of quality ice) or what is going on up there?

The deal with the new Border View owner was supposed to be a partnership deal, and it fell through. Sounds like the current owner didn’t fulfill his end of the deal, so the Border View group backed out.

I don’t know the back story…but seemed like a good operation a few years ago when I think it was Chuck running the show…

Yeah, no idea on the current ownership, but they have gone thru 2 other partners the last few years prior to this deal falling through. Sounds like a recurring theme…

Buddy’s fish house was stored/rented and then utilized when they went to the cabin. Sounded like a very sketchy ordeal when they picked up their property(fish house) at the resort.
