Hi All. I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy. Curious if anyone has any experience with polarized sunglasses that fit over prescription glasses such as Cocoons. Any advise is appreciated. I just cannot see well enough anymore without my glasses, but cannot afford prescription sunglasses. Thanks.

I’ve got the fitover brand but don’t use them anymore due to prescription sunglasses. If I can find them you can have them if you wish

I get the $20 ones from fleetfarm. Cheap enough and they do help. Get a new pair every year.

    Mike,

You must know the secret hiding place; I can never find them or they are way too small…

I’ve used Cocoons for several years. They’re great. In fact I have a pair for the car and another pair I keep with my fishing gear.

BCNeal, do you know what frame style and size you have? Any tips in sizing? What color lenses do you like? I am thinking amber, good all around color. Not the best for everything, but good for everything.

Have you tried clip on’s? I have both. Clip on’s can work for a lot of situations. Over the glasses can be big and bulky but eliminate a lot more sunlight. Clip on’s are a lot cheaper too.

I think there is usually a few different sizes on the rack.

I just ordered 2 pair from Sunglass Outlet 10.00 a piece shipping for 2 pair was 3.50 . Was going for the Cocoons but just ran over a pair with a 6 ft finishing mower. Figured this was economical considering how much Cocoons are .

Bought a pair of clip-on Cacoons this spring…. work great for driving but don’t work well on the boat – eyes hurt, red and dry after a day on the water. Ridiculous price for clip-ons. Shame on me.

I bought the $20 cheapies at Fleet yesterday, very impressed. I couldn’t find cacoons that fit well.

Again I appreciate everyone’s input and advise. We do not have Fleet Farm down here. Can anyone tell me the brand name of the fitovers that you all buy there?
