My wife made these last Friday. Yum-o. The garnish is green cabbage and red onion, pan fried gils on a soft shell. Ma made the sauce up if anyone is interested I will ask her for what she put in it. It was much better than plain tartar. And I love tartar!

Been a while since I made those. Thanks for the reminder, some winter perch will be turning into tacos this weekend.

Were those gills deep fried? Looks good!

Sorry I took so long on the sauce. Here goes:

1/4 cup adobo sauce from chipotle peppers
1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
    2 teaspoons lime zest
    1/4 teaspoon cumin
    1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning. Such as Old Bay
    Salt and pepper to taste.

I like saucce, in fact my wife calls me the condiment king so double down on this recipe depending on the amount of tacos you are making or the amount of sauce you enjoy

Of course vary ingredients to your own taste if you choose!
