Filet whitefish off the bones as you normally would. Scoop out rib bones. Using a finger, locate the bones along the upper inch of the meat towards dorsal fin. Cut straight down following the Y bones on both sides (Of the Y’s) and peel them out. Then remove the skin leaving the meat bone free. (Same as taking Y bones out of pike.) Using a steamer (Available at WalMart for $20)steam for about 20 minutes using your favorite seasoning. I like Mrs Dash roasted peppers and a little garlic salt. Serve with toast, eggs, hash browns..or whatever your favorite breakfast would include.

That DOES look excellent, nice photo!!

I’ve eaten Tulibee before.. Not a great experience. Stunk up the whole ice shack when we did it. I’d have to substitute walleye or whitefish (if I ever catch one) for the tulibee.. Otherwise, looks great – I’m hungry already!!

Edit… I noticed you said Tulibee in the title, but whitefish in the body.. I assume you are cooking whitefish and not cisco (tulibee), right??
