I used to think the local Von Hansens was the only place to buy good steaks but Kowalskis blows them out of the water. Their premium cuts are consitently the best steaks I have eaten. Grilling a new york right now.

X2 I live three minutes from the White Bear Kowalskis and eat their steaks almost exclusively. We had a Kolbe beef beef tenderloin over the holidays, best I’ve ever eaten, ever.

Huh! And I thought the Aldi’s 80/20 pre made patty’s were pretty tasty off the grill today

Hackenmuellers in Robbinsdale has excellent steaks and chops. Plus their different styles of homemade brats are hard to beat.

    Hack’s is great! I haven’t tried a Kowalski’s steak.

Kowalski’s is one of the few places you can buy prime steaks for the grill. I’m guessing that’s what you’re referring to? They are incredibly good. Not cheap, but well worth it on special occasions … like when you feel like eating a really good steak.

I can’t say that I’ve ever bought a USDA Prime steak, although it sounds mouth-watering.

Yep. $22 for a prime strip but at almost 2 inches thick and gummable it was more than enough for my wife and I. I wouldn’t buy them their every time but what a treat once in a while. Last year we bought a ribeye and it was just ridiculous.
