Oh my bejewels..I found the perfect recipe for Deer steaks.
I made this recipe up as I was marinating..

    1part olive oil
    1/2part red wine
    dash of soy sauce
    sprinkle of sugar
    lot of raw garlic
    dash of worcestire sauce
    sprinkle of tonys seasoning
    pepper
    Marinated only for 2 hours

Sear steaks 2 minutes each side
then in the preheat oven at 425 for about 8 minutes.

The 2nd picture is right out of the frying pan..OMG

The 3rd pic is after 4 min in the oven.

    5 star in my book

Sounds like it would be good on any roast of meat

Yes I’m putting this marinade to the test..marinating a slab of steak and will try it in a couple of hrs.
I tried deer roast last month in a crockpot and it was not as tasty as this. I like to taste the flavor of the meat.

right out of the pan is better for this recipe.

I have one very close that I use, only I use Brown Sugar, very little garlic (wife does not care for it) and 21 Salute Seasoning Also, marinate in a sealed bag, push all the air out…. much better permeation and relaxes the meat tissue

Add some minced ginger to your marinade. It’ll give it a slight kick but not too much.

Ginger and garlic and staples in my rubs/ marinades.

2nd pic tasted so ohhhhhhhhh.. preferred it over the 3rd. very mild gamey taste( melts in your mouth), but with the 3rd you couldn’t tell if it was venison or beef roast.

not too much can match a good Iowa venison steak, I’d second the ginger idea.

Ann made a new stir fry recipe that called for ginger. Had a lot leftover and have been using in all kinds of stuff, very good!
