Tried a new way of breading

    Had a couple saugers in the fridge, so I kept 3 small bluegills to add to them for dinner tonight. Tried something new, crushed vegetable ritz crackers. If you have never had those crackers before.. they have a real nice onion/vegetable flavor to them that complimented the fish very nicely, and the crunch from the cracker coating was excellent.

    Just did the basic egg wash, cracker coating, fry. Keep the temp low though or the crackers will burn, 325-350.

    Was very good, one for the top of the list.

    Always willing to try another fish batter or breading. The onion part catches my attention. Thanks.
