Raspberry Shortcake

    The strawberries wound down a day or so ago and now the Raspberries are kicking in big time. I picked a nice bowl full this afternoon and Carole whipped up some of her shortcakes to go with the berries.

    Some people like a little whipped cream or half-half to go with them, but I favor a splash of amaretto coffee creamer. OK, maybe just a bit more than a splash. Gotta go….red lips await me…..

    I stuck a qt ziplock bag in my pocket as we went out the door for our evening walk. Picked it nearly full along a walking trail in Hudson. Vanilla ice creme and raspberries- – yum! jerr

    BK’s raspberry-jalepeno jam will be coming along soon too. New breed of hot pepper this season to try.
