I don’t use it for steaks but a great Marinade that I use for venison roasts is 3 parts soy sauce, 1 part Worcester and add in a tablespoon of garlic powder

    2 cups of plain yogurt
    2 tablespoons of granulated garlic
    1 tablespoon of cummin powder
    1 tablespoon of corriander powder
    Juice of 1 lemon
    1-2 cup of chopped cilantro
    Salt and pepper to taste

Mix the day before and place your tougher custs of beef, and venison. Doesn’t hurt to hammer the cuts or punch many holes in them.

Cool. Sorry, it is a pet peeve of mine when people put more than salt and pepper on cuts above a sirloin. I do love a good marinade on a sirloin.

I like to take a steak – any good cut – and coat it with olive oil and crushed fresh garlic. Maybe add a tbsp of worcester. Let it sit in the fridge for a few days like that in a container and then grill it with salt and pepper.

If you dont like me seasoning my steak, feel free to pay for it and I will let you season it for me.

Italian dressing and soy sauce. Mix the ratio to your taste, we usually use about 4 to 1 dressing to soy. Marinade in refrigerator over night.

you can jazz it up with a marinade, for a good sirloin I like a compound butter on top, or even a wild mushroom gravy. Simple is best. Now for a tough sirloin, beer, soy sauce, fresh garlic, Montreal seasoning, fresh ginger, brown sugar. This will tend to char more with the sugar, so go indirect to med rare then put some color on them over direct heat.

ADD Balsamic Vinegar to any marinade and you can eat the cheaper cuts of steak and won’t be able to tell which steak is better.

I love this Alton Brown recipe for skirt steak fajitas, although the wife and I prefer to use flank steak. Grilling directly on the coals = COOL
