I want to get into stuffing meats and have a 5lb manual stuffer. Do people mount these on boards then on a counter top with clamps or what? Thoughts/tips? Thanks

Here I thought this post was about Jesse.

I’m sure over the last 30 years they’ve come up with something better, but we used a wide board that was about 6 maybe 8″ deep and used two C clamps to hold it on to the table.

I’m assuming a lever/funnel type of sausage pusher. Bolt it to a piece of 2X8, then c-clamp it to a table top. Be certain the table-top or counter-top can stand up to the rigors of its use though. The can/crank type of mechanical stuffer makes the job a lot easier….something to think about once you get into this a bit.

I’ve been doing this for years and love it. If you haven’t already, buy some good sausage making reference books and read them thoroughly. You’ll get hooked on this real quick.

Thats how mine is. Might want to put a towel down on counter and then clamp board to that.
