I grow fresh herbs and peppers in small clay pots. Home Depot has a good supply. I harvest them and place them in a food dehydrator and use a coffee grinder to blend them. I then store them in small shaker containers . My favorite is growing Tabasco peppers.

We do the same, mostly with Jalapeno peppers. Have to get a few more pots this year.

I’ve been growing in a 20′ section of my garden then sun drying on 3’x3′ aerated screen racks. Works ok. Want to get big into tomatoes also, but don’t have that down. Mold is my biggest issue.

Why clay pots? Why not just plant them in the ground? Or does this prevent them from spreading? I like herbs but they seem to spread all over the place. I love having some chives handy but I can’t keep them in one spot and it ticks me off. Nothing better than clipping off some chives and putting them on potatoes that we just picked….the whole family likes that….but again…..they spread all over. I am have been trying to kill the plants that spread into a walking path a few years ago and each year they keep coming back. Thoughts?
