My daughter just got back last night from staying with her buddy Riley for 5 days. She commented on the way home that she ate Ramen Noodles for most dishes because both of them did not know how to cook. Anna is going to be the cook for the next couple weeks to learn a “needed” skill.

Can I take you to task and ask “Why post a recipe if you’re not going to offer all the ingredients…?”

Just seems odd to me that there’s some sort of ‘uber-secret’ ingredient that people shouldn’t know about….

We were having some company once and I got elected to make chili for them. I “borrowed” an empty, but not cleaned out, dog food can from my neighbor and left it on the counter top with the tomato jars, etc. When asked what I used to make such great chili I mentioned most everything and then mentioned the “secret ingredient”. When doing the dishes the lady half of the couple asked Carole about our dog….what kind it was because she wasn’t aware that we had one. Carole said we didn’t have a dog and the conversation went south from there. Finally someone brought up the can again and I just said, secret ingredient. Not a good thing to say as I found out.

    they are everyone’s secret ingredients.
    Chili is sooo popular.
    Many like jalapenos.
    So do I.

Wanted people to be able to personalize their recipe and say their secret ingredients.

I like fire roasted poblano peppers, add a can of beer, tomato puree, not juice. Chile powder and cumin. There was a day when I did a few competitions as an ICS member, that was cool.
