    What will you need:

A glass baking dish with a cover that will fit the steak you will be cooking.
A frying pan to sear the steak
1 can of Campbell’s Mushroom Soup
Flour to dust the steak in
A couple of tablespoons of oil
Salt and pepper to taste or Lawry’s

    1) Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees
    2) Heat the oil in a pan
    3) Dredge the steak in flour and place in heated pan
    4) Sear both sides seasoning with salt, pepper, or Lawry’s
    5) Remove from pan and place in glass baking dish.
    6) Cover with mushroom soup
    7) Cook at 350 degrees for about an hour

This works for any steak, but especially for tough cuts of meat and works very well with venison steaks. It makes its own mushroom gravy that can be used to dip the steak in, or can be ladeled over potatoes. With the steaks in the picture we put the steaks in hamburger buns and dipped in the gravy. This should make the steak fork tender.

The first picture is after searing and before putting the cream of mushroom soup on. The second is after being cooked. Try it, I’m sure you will like it.

What was the cut of meat that you had used in the pic?

Eye of round. A fairly tough cut of meat, but tender enough afterwards to put in a hamburger bun.

I haven’t tried it yet but was thinking of putting an eye of round in a smoker. Have you tried that, or anyone else? What internal temp would you take it to as well?
