A Different Coating On Fish

Last night I cooked up some perch for a fish fry. I soaked the fillets in milk for about 4 hours. I then made a thin beer batter using Lienie’s Honey Weiss, then dredged them in corn flake crumbs and pan fried for 2 minutes on a side in 325 degree oil. WOW, were they great. My sister said I had to get some haddock for my brother in law because he wouldn’t eat any other fish. We got him to try a little and he ended up not eating the haddock but ate 5 perch fillets.

It’s little extra work to fix them this way, but well worth it.

That’s about the only good way to have Honey Weiss

    Sounds tasty

between the Honey Weiss and the corn flake crumbs, I bet that made for a really sweet tasting batter.

I might have to give that a try.

I’d bet Shandy would make a great addition, too, instead of honey weiss. Add some ground pepper and you’d get that sweet lemon/pepper taste. Yum!
