We have 2lbs. of gator and need some thoughts on different ways to prepare it. This will be our first time eating gator but if it is good we’ll definitely be getting more.

How much does it cost a pound? If you watch Swamp people on TV they deep fry it all the time.

The burgers are great…I’d have it ground with some pork shoulder and do burgers on da grill!

The FH says to smoke it with your fav meat rub, but only if you’re an experienced smoker. Apparently it’s easy to mess up and ruin a bunch of meat (he’s speaking from experience here. )

We cooked the gator tonight, my wife used a Vidalia Onion Marinade, she breaded and deep fried half of it and stir fried the other half and added it to Ramen noddles seasoned with some of the same marinade. Man was that good!!! We also had frog legs and hand cut french fries!! Now I’m enjoying a cold one after that!
