Do tackle manufactures use patents very much?
Or do they mainly use copyrights and first to markets to protect the brand and IP?

You can go on to the US Patent and Trademark office website and search by key words, company names, etc…

If awarded a patent, you have to pay renewal fees along the way. You also have to show diligence in enforcement of your patent. If you know of or witness someone violating your patent, you must go after them … failure to protect your patent can result in you losing rights to that patent.

The Chinese don’t much care about patent law. If you think you have something get a patent lawyer.

Just another reason to slap 104% tarrifs on them.

Or do they mainly use copyrights…

A copyright protects original works of authorship. For example, written works, musical works, visual artworks, or poetry.

    Copyrights do not protect inventions.

I should have said trademarks instead of copyrights.
