Did you mic the rod ? Is it 6/64ths ? I have found most are too big… they have packs with smaller diameter if needed.

How much did you break off? I have successfully re-used the original tip. This assumes the rod was broken close to the tip guide, where the diameter is pretty much the same. Use a lighter to heat up the guide and pull the broken piece out. Then use a drill bit (by hand, no drill) to clean all the glue out. If it slides on to the rod then epoxy it in place and you’re back in business. Good luck!

If you’re in the twin cities area I suggest going to Thorne Brothers and have them fix it. They’ll have the right stuff and usually it’s about $10 or so for a new tip

Fleet Farm has Fuji tips {most of the time]. I’ve had good luck using them on Shimano rods, with micro eyes. I’m an hour from any help. So I just bought an assortment one of the last times I was there.

My micrometer reads 2.5-2.7mm on the thicker end.

Get a pliers and heat it up and see if you can get the broken blank out of the tip and then see if it will slip over the current end of the blank. You also should make sure the blank itself isn’t fractured or splintered. If it fits you will still need some tip adhesive or you can super glue it but just know if it isn’t straight or happens again there really is no getting it off with super glue

Blue Ribbon will also repair them for 10.00. You will have your rod back in a couple days.
