Hey Cat, where do you live?
I grew up in Balsam Lake and fished Butternut quite a bit over the years.
Big city Centuria Wis, and it’s a sad sad tale how I got here. lol
I was out saturday on Trade. Conditions were bad at the access, but not terrible further out. You sank in the snow/slush or slipped on the glare ice. Fish were moving a lot. Found a bunch of hungry perch,(mostly small), some decent sunnies and crappies finally bit before dark. A few of the perch had baby crappies in their bellies. First time i have seen that.
