Does anyone know what threads are used on Shimano/Daiwa trolling reels to hold the handles on?? (I know they’re the same, and they’re M8, but don’t know the pitch)

I brought a reel to Fastenal but they said it’s an “extra fine thread” and they don’t carry that.

Also, does anyone know what Okuma uses? I see they’re smaller (M7)?

I’m trying to make drill adapters for my trolling reels to clear lines faster and with less labor (reeling in a couple thousand feet of line at the end of the day sucks lol)

We use to just put a socket on the nut. Worked great while using leadcore.

Hello, been reading for a few years and this my first post. I use Glenn’s Rod and Reel out of Des Moines for all my reel repairs, if that helps any
