Hope this is an appropriate post!

Looking for a specific lake &/or cabin recommendation. I’ve searched online for hours & feel overwhelmed! I’m planning a fishing weekend for my husband’s 40th birthday – just 3-4 buddies.

    Here’s the “criteria” …
    Good multi-species fishing lake.
Southern MN preferred but open to suggestions.
Rental – sleeps 3-4, running water/electricity wanted but otherwise they’d be happy in a rustic cabin rather than anything fancy.
Doesn’t need to be way out in the boonies, but somewhat secluded is preferred.
He could haul our fishing boat, but even better if we can rent one onsite.
Access to a local bar or restaurant would be cool too! Ha!

I would look around Mississippi river and lake pepin in that region. Where will they be traveling from?

It isn’t “south”, but would try the Alexandria area…it is more west of the cities, but still southern half of state.

Sorry I’ve just noticed this post. If your still looking try the Waterville area.
Several resorts and anything from panfish to muskies.
