    Hi all,
    It sounds like we are vacationing in the Bahamas this coming Feb/March. I’m looking for suggestions on a couple of things from anyone that has fished there before;

    1 Does this destination differ any in bringing your own rods on board the aircraft? We’re going MSP to ATL, then on to Bahamas
    2 Anyone fish from shore/piers there before? We’re staying in the central area on Double Bay
    3 Charter experience or recommendations? Any to stay away from?
    4 Any shore fishing location suggestions? We’ll have a car.

    Thanks for any help,
    Don

    I can’t help you with any fishing…..we did go to Eleuthera two years ago and it’s a great place. We were actually scheduled to go out with a fishing guide and fish some reefs but the day was too windy. The Eastern (which I believe is the Atlantic) side is very very windy.

    If you’re interested in snorkeling at all there are some real good options. Since Eleuthera is a narrow island you’re almost always near a coast, and almost anywhere, especially if there’s structure, has good options for snorkeling.
