I’ve been looking for a 2 man house within my budget since the beginning of ice season. More seriously looking the last week. Finding one in my budget that fits in my vehicle has been an ongoing struggle.

Tonight I pull my one man clam trap out on my local honey hole, as I’m setting up I give a wave to a guy setup a little was away. pop a few holes and then make my way over to ask how the bite is. He says it has been a slow day. I start admiring his clam yukon, and tell him about my search for shack that’ll fit in my vehicle. he says he is looking at getting a new one soon, so I offer to buy it when he’s ready to sell. The guy starts loading his gear, yells “let’s see if it fits”…. with a handshake and $50 I am now the happy owner of a clam yukon.

Doesn’t get much better than that. Congrats on the great deal.

    That’s a steal, I wouldn’t sell mine for less than $250.

Just goes to show there are still good people around. The man didn’t have the other seat or the storage compartment, he refused to accept payment until I have all the extras.

On a side note: anyone ever had 1 fish that filled the whole 5ft zoom screen on an lx7?? I didn’t have a chance to see the fish because my line snapped after hook set and 1/2 second of drag burning.

The guy I bought the house from was fishing for pike. It’s literally a neighborhood pond I’ve been fishing for 12in+ crappies since I was 8n high school. I’ve never caught a pike, but I know now that there are some big’ins in there.

Good deal the Yukon is probably my favorite shack that clam makes other then the x2. I like the size of it and the height you sit at is perfect. Enjoy! Lx7 is awesome isn’t it? Shows you a huge mark and that is what it is huge!!
