If you want something that can do ALL of the cool things = the Furuno CH250 Sonar is for you. But with a list price of $13,000.00 it might break the bank bawling

Look at the humminbird helix. They can do some of the cool things but not all of them. Great entry level unit.

Just bought this unit for my dad to put in his boat. Looks awesome and will not break the bank!

Yes you can buy a humminbird helix gps/sonar combo for $300. I just bought a helix for stand alone sonar a couple weeks ago. Nice units in my opinion. You will need a lakemaster or navionics chip for mapping.

Does the Helix only come in a 5 inch screen? I only have my small screened phone to search and that is all I have been seeing.

    What store?

Any of the usual outdoor stores. Just a thought, don’t buy one before you get your boat. The bost you find might have one.

I missed that. blush Odd. Why would someone dredge up a year-old post to brag up his Garmin?

My in hull transducer is giving me trouble. Where would I install an external one on a 2011 Skeeter SX200 transdom?
