You could check with Morey’s seafood in motley. I believe they use to sell eggs from the fish they processed. I’m not sure if they still do

for what….caviar or stocking? I am sure you could have gotten a hold of the Wisconsin fisherman about a month ago that were getting all sorts of spillage from the trout in the harbors….I will be releasing any big girls back in the river if I am able to get out there….not looking good along the Sippi! I hope it is not as bad as they predict!

Any of the charters that clean the fish when you take people out fishing if you could collect me about 10 to 15 Lbs of roe from the fish I mention from above I would appreciate it so very much ,

Not to be that guy but eating eggs from a Walleye should be illegal but to each their own.

I’m curious. Why do you think that?

If the eggs are from a fish that has just been fileted, no problem. Being curious many years ago, I tried walleye eggs. Pretty much the most disgusting thing I have ever ate.

Buying eggs from a private seller should be illegal (I assume it is).

I sure hope that’s what you meant.

Pretty sure that selling any game fish or parts of them is illegal.

    Where do you live Shelly?

I may be able to help out in a week or so. No money needed. High five would be nice.

    Dont like shipping though.

I agree with you to farm the fish for eggs would not be right at all but if your keeping it and cleaning it dont throw the eggs away i will take them . that is what I meant and ty.

I have eggs for most all those fish you mentioned. I actually have quite a few jars, maybe a dozen walleye jars full.

How many you want? It’s refreshing to see someone else how enjoys fresh walleye eggs as I do!

Ha…no, Butthurts butt doesn’t hurt from sitting in a boat all day. His “butt hurt”… we’re kind of keeping a secret around this here forum. razz

Some of us have to stay in a “closed” group”, ya know. wink

If you live in Ohio though…
…why not get up to Erie now? They’re hauling in big egg laden females by the boat load, getting filleted out by the hundreds.

Gotta be plenty of eggs you could put in you’re basket, free!!
