Got a few days off next week and want to head to Mille lacs for the first time! I was just wondering if I could get some pointers..I don’t have a 4-wheeler or snowmobile or anything..I was just wondering where a good resort or public access would be to walk out on…or would the walks be crazy far and horrible to deal with…any help works thanks!!

This head up is still valid as of this morning:

This cracks is still open and active. Runs from Cedar Creek area all the way up to Wilderness. (North end) I’d avoid any east side access north of Macs Twin Bay area for now.

You can walk out of Chapman’s in Isle, Mcquoids in Twin Bay. You can also walk out of Walkon and Cove.

Best bet is to stay in the bays for now. Especially for a first time trip.

Walk out at Rocky Reef, easy .4 mile to the reef and big eyes.

Hey Dylon i just posted a similar question last week. I went to macs resort off of twin bay. walk was less then 5 min and a 10 dollar parking fee. Good food there as well. The bite was not great during the day but saw others pulling walleye northern like crazy. just not strong for me. Except around 5pm i got a 26 inch walleye so made the day!
