First Time Setup

Hello All, new to this forums, hope to get some help. I just purchased a Hummingbird ONIX 10SI. I powered it up and went into “First Time Setup”. Went thru it all and at the end the screen said (Press Confirm To Continue) I did than the next scree said to do the same thing, BUT there is no way for me to highlight Confirm or to move on in the setup. It just kind of hangs up at this point. I shut it down and turned it back on only to find myself right where I left off. Any ideas????

I remember the Onix units having lots of software issues, have you tried updating the firmware? Typically if you have an update loaded on a sd card it will install the update on bootup first. It could also be a simple interface issue where you need to highlight the confirm button via the turn knob, or a shortcut key.

Check the Humminbird website and compare your software version with the latest for your unit. If needed, update exactly per the instructions. If that’s not the problem and you’ve registered it with Humminbird, call the Humminbird service center and badger them until you get someone who knows what they are talking about. It won’t be the first person you talk to unless you’re extremely lucky. Be persistent.
