    I think guides are based out of Put In Bay island. And you want one i wouldn’t try it without some experience. Ice conditions can change fast.

    be very careful. forcast shows temps warming up with possible rain. and the wind always seems to blow.

    Be careful. There are some cracks and water going off the mainland. Most people go off S Bass island.
    Stay away several hundred yards from the end of Rattlesnake Island (any island really) because of current. Bite has been really slow this past week. Heading home tomorrow.
