Hey all i am looking to go to mille lacs for the first time. I dont have any friends that have been there so we are kinda winging it. I dont have a 4wheeler or snowmobile. Is it possible to park somewhere and walk to a spot. I am mostly looking to target walleye if possible? if it is can you suggest some areas?

Go to chapmans in isle. 5 bucks to access and the hike is easy.

Isle bay can be good. Another spot I like that is within walking distance is Macs Twin Bay. There is some nice structure there close to shore.

Depends on what time of year you are planning on going. If it’s when they let all the trucks out and they plow then you can drive right up to where you want to fish for many spots.

The first break should be money anywhere around the lake, but I’m not sure about ice conditions outside of the south end bays. So if you are going soon, I’d follow the previous advice, if you are going in another week or two the whole lake should be good to go.

Nice job! I fished Isle Bay all Saturday and it was slow, but the fish we got were good ones!
