I will be heading to castlerock lake for a family vacation in 2 weeks, 6 adults and 2 kids. I am the fisherman (mostly bass) in the family so everyone looks at me to put them on fish. Bass and walleye is what we are going to target. Any fishing reports would be great. Ex: water Temps, clarity, are they holding on weed lines, rock piles, wood? From looking at the map it looks like there is an old Creek channel running through the lake. I assume that is a good place to start. Thanks in advance for responding!

Yes I believe so. It’s connected to Petenwell if that helps.

Find submerged wood along the old river channel for eyes and crappies. Cast along the rock dike for smallies. Trolling for eyes and white bass is very popular. It is a really tough bite right now. There has been a bait fish explosion on those 2 bodies of water this year.
