Pretty quiet on the cat board this year so I thought I’d share a pic. My buddy got the fist sow of the season the the other night. We didn’t weigh or measure, but it was a piggy 😄.

Nice fish Dirk! If you had to pick one river for the best chance at a nice flathead, what would it be?

I honestly can’t answer that question. The Croix, Minnesota, and Miss are all good, and you can catch true pigs on all of them. I’ve only fished the Minnesota once in my life but I see the pics. I think most would say that the Croix is not a big numbers game but giants exist there. My experience is mostly on pools 2-5 – and they are all good.
