First outing on the open water 2021

Buddy of mine called me asked me if I wanted to join him in the flat bottom for a day out on the Mississippi River dragging Jigs and plastics and I could not say no. I was pulling The VMC Sleek jigs with the Bfishn Tackle Moxie. It was a beautiful day out and draggin jigs with little to no wind was the ticket for us today. We boated several walleyes below and above the slot with a few saugers mixed in we also ended up with several in the slot.
Looking at the projected forecast for the river stage it’s looking very promising for a great spring walleye season on the river.

And a bonus was seeing Steve Hix out there too !! It’s been a real long time buddy !!
