Found some good ice up on Grand Mesa, Colorado above 10K…Roughly 10.2-10.3…Ice conditions were good and the lake we hit was great. Fished on a solid 5″ and had a great time out slamming slimers! The morning was a comfortable High 20’s to low 30’s with mostly sunny skies and low wind😃 With the weather being so agreeable, comfortable ice, and a very active bite we couldn’t have asked for a better first outing of the season!

Got some fun camera angles of the catches, some drone shots of the area, and some fun underwater releases through the ice! Hope you guys enjoy!!

*As always be safe out there everyone…We explain all our safety shpeel in the intro of the video, but never go alone and bring all the proper safety equipment.
**I met a gentlemen out on the ice the day before this video when I was scouting, he was out there in a t-shirt and jeans with NO SAFETY Equipment whatsoever…I asked him how the ice was, he said he measured and was fishing on 3″ and was in the middle of the lake😫😫. I know this lake depth and he was in about 20 feet of water…Foolish.

Looks awesome! For these 10k+ lakes I assume you guys have to hike gear in?

Thank you, it was a great time! Always nice to be up in the mountains during ice season…Sometimes you do sometimes you don’t, really depends on the area. This video was a very short walk to the lake. We’ve done trips where we snowshoe hip deep snow for miles though up there.
