So tomorrow I’m planning on goin out on a solo trip. Going to be fishing a 5 acre farm pond that has got some nice gills and some real nice crappie.. The deepest I found in the pond last year was 17 feet the high is 1 tomorrow.. What is the best bet on were to start first?.. Not a lot of info but let me know what you would do.

I’ve had a chance to fish a couple 20ac lakes since Thansgiving weekend and have had no problems finding crappies in the basin. Deepest part of the lakes in 25-37′. Got some sunfish off the first break in 10-15′ of water but haven’t found a good sunnie bite on those waters. Basically been crappies.

Having a small pond myself, I’d say start in the basin, as well. The fish seem to hold there the best.
